Reorder Reminders
Reorder Reminders send automated reminders to customers to remind them to restock before they run out. Learn more about the 3 types of reorder reminders.
Go to Buy Again - Reorder Reminders app → Reorder Reminders to configure.
Reorder Reminder Type
Section titled “Reorder Reminder Type”There are three types of reorder reminders:
Customer Defined
Section titled “Customer Defined”Customers set their own reminder schedule directly from the reorder popup on the order status or thank you page. The reminder is sent frequently or one time, based on what the customer selects.
AI Based Reminder
Section titled “AI Based Reminder”The app automatically determines the best time to send a reminder based on each customer’s purchase patterns. Requires at least 2 orders of the same variant per customer to predict the timing. Available on Enterprise plan only.
Usage Based Reminder
Section titled “Usage Based Reminder”You set how many days each product typically lasts. The app checks when the customer last ordered that variant and sends the reminder when it’s likely running out.
Send reminder N days before running out — a buffer (in days) so the reminder arrives before the product is fully used up. For example, if a product lasts 30 days and you set 5, the reminder is sent on day 25.
When you select Usage Based, two options appear:
- Global — a single interval (in days) that applies to all products as a default
- Per product — set individual usage days for specific products.
You can also bulk-set usage days via Excel: click Request Excel inside the app and we email your store’s product list as an Excel sheet. Fill in the Usage Days column and reply to that email. We’ll upload it for you.
